Hi there, and a very warm welcome to my website. My name is John Forster and I teach and repair guitar's. I also repair keyboards, banjo's, mandolin's etc. I am based just outside of Maryport in Cumbria. If you have a problem with your guitar there is only so much you can do with Blue-tac and sticky tape so why not give me a call. (and No! this is not me in my workshop). I generally have a fast turnaround with my repairs and set-up's so you wont be without your baby for long.
Just look at the smile on this little fellow. He's just had a full set-up and now he's raring to go.
Even a new guitar has a good chance of being in need of a set-up. After it leaves the factory it could be months before it’s sold in the shop so who knows how many grubby fingers have had a little tinkle on it.
For a very small outlay I’m sure you’ll feel and hear the difference although I don’t guarantee it will cure the odd bum now being played.

I DO A STRAT CONVERSION THAT ENABLES YOU TO HAVE TWO EXTRA SOUNDS MAKING 7 IN TOTAL INSTEAD OF THE STANDARD 5 SELECTION. IT INVOLVES NO ROUTING OR ALTERATION TO YOUR GUITAR. EXCEPT FOR THE AWESOME NEW SOUNDS YOU GET YOU WOULDN'T NOTICE ANYTHING HAD BEEN DONE.************** GIVE ME A CALL FOR DETAILS
This is my latest creation. I don't know why I made it because I have quite a few guitars, but it's sure better than painting and decorating!!! I made the body out of Tulip wood which to be honest I'd never come across before but it was really good to work with and has a lovely feel to it. I just gave it a oil finish and it's as smooth as a baby's botty! Not that I go around rubbing baby's botty's but you know what I mean. I fitted two P90 type pick-up's with a single volume and tone control and it sound's and plays fabulous.
